Eat Like It’s 2019 - A Love Letter to Simpler Times (and Simpler Prices)
Eat Like It’s 2019 - A Love Letter to Simpler Times (and Simpler Prices)
Let’s be honest. A lot has happened since 2019.
In what feels like the blink of an eye and also a hundred years, we’ve lived through a global pandemic, grocery bills that now come with a side of sticker shock, and more plot twists in the economy than an entire season of your favorite binge-worthy show.
But if you’ve been with us since our early days slinging burgers out of our original Midtown Sacramento patch, you know one thing hasn’t changed: our love for this community. We built Burger Patch in 2019 on a belief that food could be kind — to animals, the planet, and to each other — and still totally crave-worthy. That belief still fuels us today. But somewhere along the way, between masks and mandates, broken supply chains and "Now Hiring" signs that stayed up way too long, we had to make some tough choices just to stay afloat.
Here’s the thing: we miss the simplicity. We miss the packed patio nights and the first-timer smiles when someone realizes that yes, this burger is plant-based and yes, it still slaps.
So we’re hitting rewind.
Starting May 30, we’re launching our Eat Like It’s 2019 Menu — a throwback to our pre-pandemic roots, with the prices to match. Our best-selling OG Patch Burger and Double Patch Burger are rolling back to their 2019 prices (we’re talking $3.50 & $4.00 off). And while we’ve added a few new favorites to the lineup since then — like our Patchwraps and Chick’n Sandos — we’re slashing those prices too, so everyone can take a bite out of the good ol’ days.
Let’s be real: labor costs have doubled, ingredient costs are up (thanks, oatmilk inflation), and “supply chain issues” became a legitimate personality trait for a while. So yes, this promotion is a bit wild. But it's also a statement: We believe in investing in joy. In comfort. In the little moments that make life feel normal again. Even if that means making less per burger, just to get more burgers into more hands.
We’ve also simplified our menu — fewer choices, but more of the good stuff. We took a long look in the mirror (and the kitchen) and asked: what’s essential? Turns out, the answer is flavor, nostalgia, and that little spark you get when a bite of food takes you back.
This campaign is more than just a sale.
It’s a celebration. A reintroduction. A reminder of what Burger Patch has always been about — building a kinder world, one Patch Burger at a time. We’re doubling-down on YOU!
So stop by our Midtown shop. Bring a friend. Grab your go-to order or try something new. Let’s make it feel like 2019 again — without the weird TikTok dances (okay, maybe just one or two).
And if you’ve never been here before? There’s never been a better time to Patch -In.
With gratitude and grilled goodness,
The Burger Patch Crew
