How’s It Going? A Transparent Look at Our “Eat Like It’s 2019” Campaign

A couple weeks ago, we did something kind of wild.

We rolled back time.

Well - not literally. But we did roll back our menu prices to 2019 levels on some of your favorite items. Why? Because we believe that eating sustainably and kindly shouldn’t feel like a luxury. And frankly, we were tired of watching prices go up while community access went down.

So, how’s it going?

Here’s a peek behind the Patch - with real numbers and honest reflections.

What’s Working

Let’s start with the good news: you showed up. And the data backs that up:

  • 🚶‍♂️ 16% increase in traffic

  • 💵 10% increase in revenue

  • 📉 5% decrease in average check size

That last stat might raise an eyebrow, but it’s actually a win - for you and for us.

Why? Because guests are ordering more items per check, meaning they’re getting more for their money than ever before. And they’re doing it smartly: we saw a 7% increase in Patch Perks redemptions, with members stacking their rewards on top of our already reduced prices. That’s next-level savvy, and exactly what we hoped to see from our loyal Patch Fam.

What We’re Learning

This isn’t just a marketing campaign. It’s a test - and a bold one. We wanted to know: Can we bring back value without cutting corners? Can volume, loyalty, and trust carry us through?

The answer so far: we think so.

We’re optimistic, but realistic. Food and labor costs are still high. Rent hasn’t gone away. But early signs show that value, access, and community connection still matter most. When you pair them with great flavor and consistent service, something special happens.

What’s Next

We’re tracking results closely. If this trend continues, these prices stick around. If we need to adjust, we’ll be open about it - because your trust matters more than anything.

We know this move was unconventional. But we’re not here to follow broken industry norms. We’re here to rewrite the model - one that balances sustainability, accessibility, and joy. Because food should lift people up, not price them out.

Thank you for being on this journey with us. For showing up, for believing in better, and for proving that kindness can win - on the plate and on the receipt.

If you haven’t made it in yet - this is your invitation.

🎉 Come eat like it’s 2019 while you still can.
